PHILADELPHIA (AP)—Travis Wood was three outs away from nine perfect innings.Against Phillies ace Roy Halladay, that wasn’t even enough for a win.
Yeah so Roy pitched last night against some donkey that looks like a professional hubcab thief, who learned the painfully difficult lesson that you don't burn your career's (if lucky, mind you) one legitimate bid at a perfect game or no-hitter when starting against HLHIII.
The line:
9 IP, 0 R, 5 H, 1 BB, 9K (4 cuttered, 5 so cuttered), 27 broken faces (9 new fractures, 18 re-breaks (I think that's how it works)), one Brandon Phillips brain asploded, no decision.
The no decision sucks, but Roy's a team guy and we'll have to brightside this one, kids--without him dominating fools that game's a loss. A big bowl of ice cream to Chooch for his two huge doubles, and a kudos to Jimmy for walking us off happily.

I always want to be on your side
