Last night, things got heated when the Iron Pigs pounded Gwinnett 10-1. I'm terrible at writing intros, so I'll let the Allentown Morning Call take it from here:
...Redmond and Frandsen first exchanged words when Frandsen stepped out of the box and was granted time. Frandsen then glared out at Redmond when the next pitch was up and in, and after Frandsen lined sharply to Ernesto Mejia at first, Redmond pointed him back toward the IronPigs dugout, with the two again jawing as Frandsen slowly made his way back to the dugout.Yes, please:
Two pitches later, Brown unloaded with his second home run, a drive onto the concourse in right center. He flipped the bat about a third of the way up the first-base line, saluted the crowd as he rounded first, and later pumped his arms after crossing the plate and after reaching the dugout.
Watch the whole thing, but video of the bat flip and airplane is around the 3:05 mark.

DOM BROWN DEATH GLARE:
GAME RECOGNIZES GAME:
-30-

Please consider this a formal request for a Dom Brown Swag-o-meter
ReplyDeleteThis video needs a NSFW warning.
ReplyDeleteTo add a little back story to this, Dom said before the game "I've never felt this good in my whole life" . The fun kids, has just begun.
ReplyDeleteThe Iron Pigs color guy was ridiculous. He got sand in his vag b/c Dom showed up a pitcher who had thrown at Dom's teammate b/c he called time and stepped out? And he's mad at DOM b/c the next guy got hit?
ReplyDeleteSeriously?
Remember when Bryce Harper did the exact same thing and everyone freaked out for him being a terrible person?
ReplyDeleteBut let us now glorify Dom Brown
I totally agree with the last part of your comment.
DeleteExcept that Harper didn't do the exact same thing. He stood at home plate admiring his HR, then after the pitcher told him off, blew a kiss at the pitcher as he crossed home plate. How is that anything like getting back at a pitcher who threw at your teammate for calling timeout?
DeleteNot to mention he pointed him back to the dugout after he lined out. If Dude can't take it, Dude shouldn't dish it out.
DeleteBut the pitcher blew a kiss at Harper first. In Harper's previous at-bat, he struck out, and the pitcher blew him a kiss.
DeleteYep, Dom's an awesome Minor Leaguer.
ReplyDeleteYeah Sam!!! Except Bryce's teammate wasn't thrown at in the AB right before and Bryce had a track record of doing dickhead-ish type stuff when we decided to blow a kiss at the pitcher.
ReplyDeletePlease continue to glorify Dom Brown
I don't know of a single MLB player who would not have done the same thing Dom Brown did given the circumstances.
ReplyDeleteHe should have pointed to the pitcher the entire time he circled the bases.
Jdash - Harper was thrown at in the same game. One of the players from the Grasshopers did a one wing down homerun trot. He was just as justified in being a dick as Brown.
ReplyDeleteGetting revenge for your teammate > getting revenge for yourself
DeleteOne is an act of generosity. The other is an act of selfishness. This should be obvious.
Just finish it off, and get off of it already. We get it Sam, you love Harper.
DeleteDoc's death stare is orders of magnitude more terrifying than Dom Brown's.
ReplyDeleteIt also says "GET OFF MY PLANE".
DeleteGames like that are why I miss Ricky Bo doing color for the 'Pigs.
ReplyDeleteAll three batters shown are now regular starters for the Phillies. What?
